Memorial Tournament Tees Off on Golden Anniversary

The 50th Memorial Tournament gets underway today at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, marking a golden anniversary for the Jack Nicklaus-founded event about which he said, "I think in many ways, we’re better than the Masters.”

Defending champion Scottie Scheffler headlines a strong field that also includes Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, and Cameron Young. The day's featured groups pair McIlroy with Justin Thomas and Westerville resident Jason Day with Spieth.

Scheffler enters as the betting favorite and is seeking a rare third consecutive title at Muirfield Village. The winner will collect $4 million and 700 FedEx Cup points.

Ohio Reviews CDLs for Non-Residents

The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is auditing roughly 5,000 commercial driver's licenses held by non-permanent residents to determine whether those credentials comply with updated federal eligibility requirements.

The audit covers licenses issued to people who are legally authorized to work in the United States but do not hold permanent resident status. The action follows Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration guidance issued in September 2025 that narrowed which immigration documents qualify for CDL eligibility.

Affected drivers will receive one of two letters: a confirmation that their CDL remains valid, or a notice downgrading their license to a Class D passenger driver's license. Those who receive a downgrade notice have 30 days to submit qualifying documentation or request a hearing.

The Ohio BMV has also announced it will no longer issue new non-domicile CDLs and will not renew existing ones upon expiration.

Real Estate: Cleveland among Most Affordable in U.S.

Cleveland ranks as the second-most affordable housing market among major U.S. metros, according to the latest RE/MAX National Housing Report.

Cleveland's median home sale price stood at $262,250 in April 2026, trailing only Wichita, Kansas, where the median was $248,500. You can view the complete report here.

Cleveland's affordability comes despite posting one of the five largest year-over-year median price increases among major metros—a 7.5% gain from $244,000 to $262,250. Only Providence, Rhode Island; Pittsburgh; and Kansas City recorded larger increases.
