The high-tech deck features ticketless entry and exit systems, over 100 electric vehicle charging stations, advanced security, and smart parking technology that shows travelers how many spaces are available and their locations. A pedestrian bridge connects the deck to the South Terminal, allowing travelers to walk to ticket counters in less than 10 minutes. |
Guatemalan Beaded Lizards Born at Zoo Atlanta
Two Guatemalan beaded lizards, one of the rarest reptile species on earth, hatched earlier this month at Zoo Atlanta for the first time since 2018. The hatchlings emerged on May 14 and May 17 and are currently being cared for at the zoo’s Conservation Breeding Center, where officials say they appear “healthy, hardy, and feisty." Only an estimated 500 to 600 of these critically endangered lizards remain in the wild. Zoo Atlanta is among only seven zoos in the nation that have this species. Over the past 25 years, 46 of the lizards have successfully hatched at the zoo. |
