Siemens Energy announced it will invest $421 million to expand operations across North Carolina, creating approximately 500 new jobs statewide as it works to meet the nation's growing energy demand.

Building on a $150 million investment announced in February 2024, the expansion will extend the power transformer manufacturing facility in Charlotte and increase service capacity. Siemens Energy will also resume gas turbine manufacturing in Charlotte after a six-year pause, with the first turbines expected to ship in the next two to three years.

The investment includes expanding grid technology project execution, research, and development in Raleigh, as well as gas turbine parts production at the Winston Technology Center in Rural Hall.

The announcement is part of a $1 billion nationwide investment by Siemens Energy to bolster domestic manufacturing of energy infrastructure equipment and strengthen the U.S. power grid.

A blast of Arctic air brought extreme cold and hazardous conditions to Hatteras and Ocracoke islands over the weekend. The weather forced the suspension of ferry operations and prompted officials to urge residents to limit time outdoors.

An Extreme Cold Warning was in effect Saturday night into early Sunday as wind chills plunged into the low single digits or below zero. Powerful northwest winds gusted between 45 and 55 mph across the southern Outer Banks. A Coastal Flood Advisory warned of one to two feet of minor inundation in low-lying areas near Pamlico Sound.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation's Ferry Division suspended Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry operations Saturday morning. Officials also advised residents to secure outdoor items, protect exposed pipes, and use caution near soundside roads and docks.

Three Days Left: Invest in America's Trillion-Dollar Energy Comeback at $7.38/share

Under a White House that favors energy production on our home soil, Frontieras North America could unlock up to $2.1 trillion in energy potential. They have the power to reform coal into high-value commodities like hydrogen and diesel without burning it.

But that's not even the best part. They're doing it in what was once the heart of American industry: Appalachia. Their new land purchase in Mason County, West Virginia, has earned praise from the state's Gov. Morrisey for its potential to transform the region back into an energy powerhouse.

Here's why you shouldn't miss this last chance to invest at $7.38/share:

  • "FASF" ticker reserved on the NASDAQ

  • $850 million flagship facility now being built

  • $10 million raised from investors so far

Reaching just 2% of the global coal market could mean a trillion-dollar valuation for Frontieras.

As a perfect storm of breakthroughs set up the company for potential valuation impact, you have just 3 days left to invest at the current price. Lock in the $7.38 share price before the window closes on Feb. 12, 2026.
