Red Rocks Breaks Records

Red Rocks Amphitheatre set multiple attendance records in 2025—ranking as the No. 1 attended amphitheater in the U.S., according to Pollstar, and placing among the top venues globally on Billboard's year-end list.

Reporting a record 1.75 million paid fans at 236 events, Red Rocks also ranked as the second-most attended music venue in the nation and fourth-most attended globally.

Worldwide, it trailed only London's O2 Arena, New York's Madison Square Garden, and the Movistar Arena in Madrid, while nearly tying with the Las Vegas Sphere.

Venue Director Tad Bowman attributed the successful year to "Colorado's natural beauty, a unique history, an all-star line-up, and fantastic fans."

Red Rocks will celebrate its 85th year in operation in 2026.

Oldest Veteran Celebrates 107th Birthday

A World War II veteran and longtime Coloradan living in Fort Collins celebrated his 107th birthday earlier this month.

Born in 1918, Chuck Kavalec is believed to be the oldest person in the state and the 52nd oldest in the nation. He served as an Army Air Corps instructor during WWII and raised two sons who served in Vietnam.

This month, Kavalec was honored for his service at the PAMVET breakfast club in Loveland. In 2018, on his 100th birthday, Fort Collins police surprised Kavalec by making him an honorary SWAT officer.

Kavalec has credited his long life to staying active—through years of daily walks and volunteering at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital.
