Although I stayed off last night's game, my lean on the Oilers was right as they came back from down 2-0 to beat the Stars 5-2 and tie the Western Conference Finals. Can't complain about not betting that though and going against my series bet and future. A night off is never a bad move. I'm jumping back in tonight with Game 5 of the tied Eastern Conference Finals. Let's win!
Game 5 - Rangers vs. Panthers (8:00)
The Eastern Conference Finals are now a best of three series as the Rangers took their first overtime loss in the playoffs in Game 4. The Panthers, who were the better team throughout the game, got the win at home on Sam Reinhart's power play goal 1:12 into overtime to tie up the series in pretty much a must-win game. Florida was the better team throughout, again with Shesterkin keeping the Rags in the game, as the Panthers outshot NY 40-23 and outplayed them by an expected goal rate of 3.56-1.78. I think Florida has been the better team in this series and think they end up winning the series, but I could see the Rangers find a way to control game play tonight at home and get the win. I'll stay off the side in Game 5 tonight. I do have two plays I like quite a bit though. I fully expect this game to stay under the total again and be another low scoring game. I'll take the under for 1.5 units. The Panthers have generated offensive chances in every game of this series, with 27, 27, 37, and 40 shots in each game in this series. Igor's keeping the Rangers in this series. I'll take him to have over 28.5 save for a unit (make sure you get that on DraftKings, FanDuel limits you to regulation on it and it wouldn't shock me in the slightest for this game to go to overtime again).
