The latest "Star Wars' spinoff "The Book of Boba Fett" has finally set a debut date in December with the series headed to Disney+…

The next highly anticipated "Star Wars" live action series will land on Disney+ in December.

"The Book of Boba Fett," which serves as a direct spinoff from another hit series "The Mandalorian," will officially debut on Disney+ on December 29. Like previous releases, "The Book of Boba Fett" will drop a new episode each Wednesday starting on Dec. 29.

The release date was announced on social media on Wednesday.

The set up for "The Book of Boba Fett" came during the season finale of "The Mandalorian" during a post credits scene after the infamous bounty hunter returned and helped Din Djarin as he sought to rescue Baby Yoda aka Grogu from the clutches of what remained of the Galactic Empire.

In the final scene, Boba Fett returned to Tattooine alongside Fennec Shand as they stormed into Jabba the Hutt's former palace and found his former henchmen Bib Fortuna now running his criminal empire. Believing that Boba had died after he was tossed into the Pit of Carkoon and supposedly devoured by the almighty Sarlacc, Bib was shocked by the bounty hunter's return.

It didn't take long for Boba and Fennec to dispatch Bib Fortuna and his guards with the final moment closing on the bounty hunter as he sat down on what was once Jabba the Hutt's throne.

The new series will detail Boba Fett's journey to solidify himself as the new head of the empire that was once run by Jabba with Fennec Shand by his side.

Temuera Morrison will return to play Boba Fett in the series while Ming-Na Wen will reprise her role as Fennec Shand after she first appeared in "The Mandalorian."

More details on the series will be released in the coming weeks along with a trailer but for now get ready to see "The Book of Boba Fett" on Dec. 29.
