Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms won the governor’s race Tuesday, defeating Republican businessman Rick Jackson and ending more than 20 years of GOP control of the governor’s office.

Democrat U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff won a second term, defeating Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Collins. Democrats also led early returns in other statewide races. You can find the latest election results here.

In congressional races, incumbents were projected to retain their seats. In the race for the open 11th District seat, Republican neurosurgeon John Cowan defeated Democrat Chris Harden and will succeed retiring U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk.

Bottoms, a former Atlanta mayor, became the first black woman elected governor in U.S. history. She won despite a sizable campaign spending gap with Jackson, who spent more than $200 million of his own money on the race.

Audi's plan for a Peach County plant starts at a $4 billion investment and 4,500 jobs, but an optional second phase could raise the totals to $7 billion and 7,500 jobs.

Phase two would add $3 billion and 3,000 jobs and trigger a second 20-year agreement with an extra $237.5 million in payments to local governments.

The county seat, Fort Valley, will receive 5% of the payments in lieu of taxes under the initial revenue-sharing deal, Peach County Commission Chairman Roy Lewis said.

The plant will build premium SUVs, producing up to 200,000 vehicles a year by 2031, with average pay above $63,000. Site preparation is scheduled to start next year.

Article Icon 1Statewide Ballot Questions Passing

Georgia voters appeared poised to approve all three statewide constitutional amendments on this year's ballot, with returns showing each measure ahead Tuesday night.

Election analysts projected passage of both Amendment 2, which removes party labels from all probate judge races, and Amendment 3, which lets lawmakers create a dedicated fund to modernize 911 systems.

Amendment 1, which doubles the farmland cap for a conservation-use tax break to 4,000 acres, was drawing about 54% support with more than two-thirds of votes counted.

The Hormone Behind Thinning Hair After 50 (It’s Not Just a Men’s Problem)

If your part has been widening, your ponytail feels thinner, or more hair is collecting in the shower drain, you’re not imagining it.

According to a menopause specialist, when estrogen drops after 50, the relative balance of a hormone called DHT rises. And DHT is known for one thing: shrinking hair follicles.

That’s why so many women who never had hair trouble in their 30s and 40s suddenly see it later. It’s also why thickening shampoos and biotin gummies often disappoint. They don’t address what’s happening at the follicle.

The good news? She says many of those follicles aren’t gone, just dormant.

Her approach skips the serums and foams entirely. It’s two capsules a day, built around a mineral pairing many women over 50 run low on.

The Missing Nutrient Behind Thin Hair

After 50, many women run low on one mineral that helps keep DHT, a hair-thinning hormone, in check.

Biotin won’t fix that. Neither will another bottle of thickening shampoo.

A menopause specialist and an Austin hairstylist found that pairing this mineral with one B vitamin, plus three other targeted nutrients, may help support fuller, stronger-looking hair from the inside out. No serums, no foams. Just two capsules with your morning coffee.
