Good morning! On this day in 1917, poet and novelist Byron Herbert Reece was born in Union County. His celebrated writing is forever tied to the struggles, spirit, and beauty of life in the Appalachian Mountains. ๐ฃ Major Announcement: We are launching Flyover Focus, a new video series that spotlights a single topic and covers its impact on your life. Some weeks that means a Top 10 list, and other weeks a chance to dig deeper into a subject making headlines, where we strip away bias and stick to the facts. Look for short informational videos every Monday.
We're starting with what may be the biggest story in the world, artificial intelligence. Is AI coming for your job? Why is AI showing up in your electric bill? Who decided a building full of computers belongs down the road from your house? And is anyone actually in charge of any of this? The answers are messier than either side wants to admit, and they reach further into your daily life than you'd expect. (Tune in here) Later today, you’ll get an email from our partner, Fisher Investments, with seven principles that high net worth investors use to help keep their retirement strategy working as one cohesive plan. Today’s sponsor, Miso Robotics, is bringing NVIDIA-powered AI into restaurant kitchens with its Flippy Fry Station while attracting more than $133 million from investors betting on the future of food automation.

Ballot Privacy Flaw Draws Scrutiny
Security researchers warn that advances in artificial intelligence make it more urgent to fix a flaw in the state's voting equipment that can allow ballots to be matched to voters. In a separate election-integrity move, officials removed from the voter rolls 226 convicted felons in Spalding County who are still serving sentences. The ballot secrecy flaw—a software problem discovered in 2022—allows ballots to be reordered into the sequence in which they were cast, enabling a match to voters. State officials say they are restricting access to sensitive records and scrambling ballot images, while the researchers say the flaw requires a software update. |
Automakers Pivot to HybridsKia and Hyundai are shifting more production toward hybrid vehicles at their Georgia plants as electric vehicle growth slows nationally. EV sales are still climbing across the Southeast—the region topped 1 million cumulative sales as of June 30, with new passenger EV sales up 25% year over year—but manufacturing investment and job announcements fell for the first time in seven years. A report from the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy and Atlas Public Policy attributes that decline to market consolidation, tougher corporate competition and uncertainty from federal policy shifts. Georgia still leads the six-state region in EV employment with more than 24,000 jobs. The state's EV makers say they are adapting and pressing forward with planned projects despite the challenges. |
Savannah Hosts Its Largest Convention
Savannah hosts the largest convention in the city's history this week, a veterinary conference with about 5,500 attendees. The International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium runs today through Thursday at the Savannah Convention Center. Veterinarians, technicians, and practice managers from around the world will gather for lectures, hands-on labs, and a large exhibit hall. A recent $276 million convention center expansion allows Savannah to compete for bigger events, officials said. |

Why Robotics Investors Keep Going Back to This NVIDIA Collaborator
Most investors write one check and wait. Miso Robotics keeps pulling them back.
With $133M+ raised to date across 44K+ investments, Miso has built something rare: a base of true believers who return round after round. And with today’s new progress at Miso and the U.S. IPO market seemingly heating up, it's easy to see why many are investing ahead of Miso’s share price change Thursday night.
Miso’s AI-powered Flippy Fry Station restaurant kitchen robot is now NVIDIA-powered, Ecolab-backed, and targeting 100K+ U.S. fast-food locations in a $1T market. And the company just made two major asset acquisitions in 2026, including from a once-SoftBank-backed robotics pioneer, growing its IP portfolio 10X overnight to 300+.
As one investor put it: "This is my 4th investment in Miso. Progress seems to be moving exponentially now."
Another: "Truly believe that this technology will expand into all fast-food restaurants worldwide. Steady growth and frequent communication kept me coming back.”
This is your chance to join these forward-thinkers. Just don’t wait. Invest in Miso Robotics at $5.48/share before Thursday’s share price change.
