Blackburn Crushes Cookies, Radioactive Materials, and Vet's New Tractor

Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn launched her first self-funded campaign ad in the governor's race Wednesday, sitting at a Chinese restaurant table and crushing fortune cookies, with fortunes reading that she will "fight to protect Tennessee land from China" and "hunt down communists."

Article Icon 1Task Force Faces Second Shooting Fallout

A DEA agent assigned to the Memphis Safe Task Force shot and killed a man Wednesday during a warrant search at an East Memphis hotel, marking the fourth fatal shooting by task force members since May and the second in less than a week.

The shooting came just days after National Guard soldiers killed 20-year-old Tyrin Johnson during a foot chase in Downtown Memphis on July 5.

That same evening, an angry crowd took over a public safety town hall in Orange Mound hosted by state Sen. London Lamar after Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis canceled her appearance. Residents demanded answers about the shootings and shouted down Lamar when she tried to redirect to other topics.

The TBI says it cannot release case files or body camera footage from any of the open investigations until they are complete.

Article Icon 1Blackburn Smashes Fortune Cookies in Ad

U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn launched her first self-funded campaign ad in the governor's race Wednesday, sitting at a Chinese restaurant table and crushing fortune cookies, with fortunes reading that she will "fight to protect Tennessee land from China" and "hunt down communists."

The ad, which cost about $112,000 in airtime, comes as Blackburn and primary opponent Rep. John Rose have both made Chinese land ownership a centerpiece of their campaigns.

Rose has called Blackburn's PAC-funded attacks against him "corporate welfare" while promoting his own anti-China record.

The fortune cookies aren't Blackburn's first ad prop. During her 2024 Senate campaign, she smashed ceramic plates bearing the Chinese flag on the floor. Early voting in the Aug. 6 GOP gubernatorial primary begins July 17.

Article Icon 1Middle Tennessee Braces for Flash Flooding

Middle Tennessee is under a Flood Watch through Sunday as rounds of heavy rain move through already-saturated ground, with forecasters warning that 3 to 4 inches of rain are possible over the next several days, on top of what the ground has already absorbed.

The most significant storm threat began last night when a line of severe storms pushed through, continuing this morning and bringing the potential for damaging wind gusts and small hail. Additional storm chances linger into the afternoon and throughout the weekend.

Isolated flash flooding is possible with any storm that develops, and residents are urged to have multiple ways to receive overnight weather alerts.

Big Oil Just Bet Big on Lithium

Eni, Italy’s largest oil producer, just signed a strategic agreement to invest in EnergyX’s lithium project in Chile, a stake that could reach $225M. The project is expected to generate $1.3B in annual revenue at forecasted market prices.

It’s just one piece of EnergyX’s portfolio holding up to 15M+ tons of untapped lithium, and it’s the latest proof of their progress. Through July 16, you can invest as an early-stage shareholder and share in that growth.

EnergyX’s patented tech recovers up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods at 500X the speed. When combined with their resource portfolio, the road to commercial-scale production is clear. Lithium demand is projected to grow 5X by 2040, so the timing couldn’t be better.

General Motors and POSCO are already EnergyX shareholders. Now it’s your turn. Become an early-stage EnergyX shareholder before the July 16 deadline.

This Metal’s Price Went Up 170%

No, not gold. Lithium. Prices more than doubled from last June to this one, spurring a modern-day “white gold” rush driven by AI, energy, and more.

With demand growing 5X by 2040, a major opportunity's emerging. No wonder 50,000+ people have  invested in EnergyX.

Their patented tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods, in days instead of months. That combination of technological prowess and market demand earned an investment from General Motors.

In the past 24 months, EnergyX has raised ~$100M from retail investors, formed a first-of-its-kind lithium agreement with the U.S. Army, and Eni, Italy’s largest oil company, just signed an agreement to invest up to $225M.

Now they’re preparing to unlock ~15M+ tons of lithium. Invest in EnergyX before the 7/16 deadline.
