Two Georgia congressmen filed impeachment resolutions against U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross after a judicial misconduct investigation found she violated ethics rules.

U.S. Reps. Clay Fuller and Andrew Clyde filed the resolutions after Ross was reprimanded for attending a partisan political event, allegedly engaging in a relationship with a high-ranking Atlanta police officer in her chambers, and lying to investigators.

Ross declined to comment.

Ross has been a federal judge since 2014, serving the Northern District of Georgia. The impeachment push comes as the Judicial Council of the 11th Circuit confirmed the reprimand, a rare censure for a sitting federal judge.

Firearms manufacturer Rideout Arsenal will relocate from Virginia to South Georgia, with plans to invest $22 million in a 120-worker manufacturing facility in Thomas County.

Rideout Arsenal, which specializes in high-performance competition pistols, cited Georgia's business climate, workforce pipeline, and firearms-friendly legal framework.

"This relocation was not something we originally planned to pursue. The reality is that recent anti-gun legislation in Virginia created a significant uncertainty for our company," Rideout's founders said in a statement. "We are excited to bring new jobs and manufacturing investment to Thomas County and are grateful for the warm welcome we have already received.”

The initial facility will be located within the Plantation Oak Industrial Park in Thomasville, with additional buildings planned in future years. Information on when construction will start was not immediately available.
