Newly unsealed court documents reveal Tennessee's Sen. Marsha Blackburn was named as a possible target by a group accused of plotting a drone-and-shooter attack during the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House lawn on Sunday.

Tycen Proper, a 19-year-old Ohio man, is among five charged. Prosecutors say the group planned to use explosive-laden drones to create chaos before shooters targeted "high-value targets" during evacuation.

Proper's mother tipped off the FBI after noticing his behavior, firearms purchases, and encrypted online communications.

Blackburn said the allegations won't slow her down. "I will not let maniacs like this one deter me from celebrating or serving this great nation," she said.

Two brothers died Wednesday after their Cessna 177RG went down in a cornfield near Morrison Industrial Park in Warren County.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said the plane struck a tree shortly after takeoff from a private airstrip in the Viola community, and the pilot attempted to divert to Warren County Memorial Airport before losing control.

A county commissioner eating lunch nearby watched the incident unfold. "There was a plane basically coming straight down," he said. "It took me a few seconds to realize that I’d probably seen a plane crash, and at that point I called 911.”

Victims' names are being withheld pending family notification. It's the sixth plane crash in Tennessee this year and the second fatal one.

Philadelphia-based Wawa opened its first Tennessee store in Clarksville on Wednesday, kicking off a $50 million investment the company says will fuel five to eight new Tennessee locations per year over the next decade.

About 1,800 fans turned out for the soft opening. Company officials cited Clarksville's position on a Kentucky-Tennessee travel corridor and its proximity to Fort Campbell as reasons to plant their flag there first.

Locations in Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Dickson, and Nashville are next. Clarksville alone is slated for three stores by 2028.

Five of Tennessee's eight bordering states already have Wawas. The chain, which traces its roots to a 1964 Pennsylvania food market, is known for hoagies, fresh coffee, and a cult-like following among Northeast transplants.
