Good Morning! On this day in 1953, Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay of Nepal became the first confirmed climbers to summit Mount Everest. Speaking of Everest, an American cancer survivor just summited the world's highest peak in under 10 hours, about an hour faster than the previous record. Hillary and Norgay needed weeks of preparation. Tyler Andrews did it before lunch. We have details below. Today’s sponsor, Mode Mobile, is giving everyday smartphone users the chance to turn their devices into income streams while offering early investors a pre-IPO opportunity backed by major growth and Shark Tank veteran Kevin Harrington. |

US-Iran Reach Tentative Deal to Reopen Strait
U.S. and Iranian negotiators have reached a draft deal to extend the ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, pending final approval from President Trump. The 60-day agreement would unrestrict shipping through the strait, require Iran to remove all mines within 30 days, and lift U.S. sanctions on Iranian oil sales. Even as the draft was finalized, Iran fired a ballistic missile at Kuwait on Wednesday night that was intercepted, retaliating for U.S. strikes on Iranian drone facilities. |
US Postal Service Strikes $10B Deal with DHL
The cash-strapped U.S. Postal Service announced a $10 billion deal Thursday to handle "last-mile" delivery for Germany's DHL eCommerce, the biggest contract in the two organizations' 25-year relationship. DHL will handle pickup and sorting at its 19 American hubs, while USPS completes the final leg of deliveries to its network of 170 million addresses nationwide. The deal is a major win for USPS, which has warned it could run out of cash as early as 2027 after losing $9 billion in the last fiscal year. It comes just two months after Amazon, USPS's largest customer, slashed its package volume with the agency by 20% in a renegotiated contract. |
Ex-CIA Officer Caught with $40M Gold Stash
A former senior CIA officer is in federal jail after agents allegedly found 303 gold bars worth more than $40 million stashed in his Virginia home, along with $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches. David Rush requested the gold and foreign currency from the government between November 2025 and March, claiming the funds were for unspecified "work-related expenses." The CIA reportedly handed it over. He's also accused of posing as a Navy Reserve captain and test pilot for years, even though his actual Navy job was as an information systems technician. The FBI says Rush faked college degrees from Clemson and Rensselaer Polytechnic, and pocketed $77,000 in fraudulent military leave by claiming active reserve duty he wasn't performing.

One Shark Missed Billions… Another Saw This Coming Imagine turning down Uber at a valuation of $10 million, only to watch it go public at over $80 billion. That’s exactly what happened to Mark Cuban… a 799,900% return, gone. But original Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington built his career doing the opposite: spotting asymmetric opportunities before they go mainstream. Like Uber turned vehicles into income-generating assets, Mode Mobile is turning smartphones into income streams. They were named the No. 1 fastest-growing software company by Deloitte and have already helped their users earn and save over $1B. Kevin Harrington invested early. And at just $0.50/share, you can still get in before their potential IPO. But this window will not stay open for long. ⚠️ PRICE ALERT: share price moves today at 5 p.m. ET. Details here. |
