Vivek Ramaswamy won the Republican primary for Ohio governor on Tuesday, defeating long-shot candidate Casey Putsch to set up a November contest against Democrat Amy Acton.

Earlier in the day, Vice President JD Vance returned to Cincinnati to vote in the primary, telling reporters he was backing Ramaswamy for governor.

In the race for U.S. Senate, former U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown defeated fellow Democrat Ron Kincaid and will face GOP U.S. Senator Jon Husted in the special election for Vance's former seat.

In other races, Allison Russo won the Democrat nomination for secretary of state and will face Republican and current Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague, while Democrat John Kulewicz will face Republican Keith Faber for attorney general.

Kristina D. Roegner and Jay Edwards were in a tight race to become the Republican nominee for state treasurer, with the winner to face Democrat Seth Walsh.

Unofficial primary election results are available here.

A fraud task force led by Vice President JD Vance will investigate alleged Medicaid fraud in Ohio after a report found millions in taxpayer funds going to immigrant-run home health care businesses.

The report identified a mostly empty building in Columbus that purportedly houses 94 home health care companies that were awarded $66 million in public funds in recent years.

Last year, concerns surfaced about alleged Medicaid fraud tied to Ohio’s Somali community in the wake of a Minnesota fraud scandal. Soon after, President Trump launched a multistate task force to combat fraud.

Unknown Number Calling? It’s Not Random

The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking.

One worker bragged about making $250k from victims. The disturbing truth?

Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers.

Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft.
