Wildcats Fall to Michigan
Arizona’s Final Four run ended in a 91-73 loss to Michigan on Saturday, with the Wolverines advancing to face Connecticut in tonight's national title game.
The Wildcats couldn’t recover from an early deficit, with Michigan converting turnovers into 26 points, while Arizona shot a season-worst 36.6% from the field and trailed by 16 at halftime.
Freshman forward Koa Peat led the Wildcats with 16 points and 11 rebounds, providing a steady presence for Arizona on a tough night against a deep Michigan team.
Wildcats head coach Tommy Lloyd signed a five-year contract extension on Friday, amid reported interest from North Carolina.

Opioid Crisis Costs Employers
A study found that opioid use cost Arizona an estimated $58 billion in workplace productivity, medical care, and law enforcement in 2023, affecting nearly 9% of full-time workers. A separate national study on all substance abuse found that employees with untreated disorders took nearly 50% more unscheduled days off and had a 44% higher turnover. Employment experts say companies can respond by reducing stigma, promoting resources, and supporting treatment through tools such as the OUD Business Toolkit.
