| OSU President Resigns The Ohio State University President Ted Carter resigned after disclosing an inappropriate relationship with "someone seeking public resources to support her personal business,” the university announced. No additional details about the alleged misconduct were released by the school. A university spokesman said an undisclosed person outside the university brought the concerns forward and that an investigation is underway. In a statement, the university thanked Carter for his contributions, including Ohio State’s rise in national rankings and growth in research spending. His term was set to run through Dec. 31, 2028. Carter was the school’s third full-time president since 2020. | Ex-Crew Players Banned for Gambling Two former Columbus Crew players were banned for life by Major League Soccer after a league investigation found they gambled extensively on soccer matches. The league said winger Yaw Yeboah and midfielder Derrick Jones bet on Crew matches during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Yeboah played for Columbus from 2022 to 2024, while Jones was with the club in 2024 and 2025. The investigation found that both players shared inside information with bettors and that both wagered on Jones receiving a yellow card during the Crew's 2024 Decision Day match against the New York Red Bulls. Jones was shown a yellow card in the 35th minute. Both players were placed on administrative leave in October 2025. Yeboah was best known in Columbus for scoring the second goal in the Crew's 2-1 victory over Los Angeles FC in the 2023 MLS Cup final. No immediate comment was available from either player. | Hospital Leads 'Best Employers' List Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus ranked as Ohio's top workplace on Forbes' list of the nation's best large employers, coming in at No. 35.
