A South Carolina father was brought to tears after seeing color for the first time, thanks to a special pair of glasses gifted by his son.

Jim Gogan, 61, had lived his whole life colorblind, a condition that cost him a shot at becoming an Air Force pilot decades ago.

His son Kyle, 39, had talked for years about getting him colorblind glasses and finally made it happen this Christmas with help from a work bonus. A family video shows Jim overcome with emotion after putting on the glasses and taking in the Christmas lights.

The first color that floored him? Red. The next day, the family took him on a drive to enjoy the outdoors in full color for the very first time, a moment years in the making.

A 91-year-old Nebraska woman got a birthday surprise she'll never forget when a rare stoneware crock that sat on her porch for decades sold at auction for $32,000.

Lois Jurgens had nearly given it away at a garage sale, thinking it was worth maybe $50. But a local auctioneer spotted rare double stamps and blue butterfly markings from Red Wing Stoneware, turning it into a collector's prize.

The bidding war drew buyers from Texas, Kansas, and Iowa. Jurgens missed the auction while volunteering at church, but when she heard the final price, she nearly buckled at the knees.

After 91 years, she called it one of the most exciting days of her life.

As Winter Storm Fern dumped nearly a foot of snow on Brooklyn, two 13-year-old entrepreneurs made the most of it, selling hot chocolate to sledders in Prospect Park.

Aaron Rappaport and Teo Driscoll set up shop on a snowy hill after their usual gig, shoveling stoops, got put on pause by the relentless snowfall.

The $3-a-cup stand drew a steady stream of bundled-up families enjoying the city's biggest snow since 2021.

Kids raced sleds, dogs romped through the powder, and even a few parents asked if the cocoa stand took Venmo, which it did.

FINAL HOURS! The Flyover Investment Round Closes Tomorrow

A few months ago, we set out on a mission: to offer ownership opportunities to our readers—now more than 4 million strong.  You are one of those readers and we are incredibly grateful. Without you, we wouldn’t be the company we are today.

But here’s the deal: we have only hours left.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, now is the moment to step in and be one of the final investors in The Flyover. Together, we can finish strong.

Invest in The Flyover today

With only hours left, we want to answer one final question we hear most often from readers and potential investors:

How do I get a return on my investment?

We believe in being direct.

Like all investments, this carries risk. But here’s what makes The Flyover different: we have already reached profitability after just two years. That puts The Flyover in a very small group of media startups, many of which never reach profitability at all.

There are three primary ways investors may realize a return:

1️⃣ A Sale
A larger media company or strategic partner could acquire The Flyover. If that day comes, we’d only consider partners who respect our values and our readers.

2️⃣ A Public Listing
While we’re private today, a future public listing would give investors the ability to buy and sell shares on an open market.

3️⃣ Profit Distributions (Dividends)
Because The Flyover is already profitable, unlike most startups, distributions are a real possibility as the business continues to grow.

To recap:
1. Sale. 2. Listing. 3. Distributions.

Now, the most important part.

This investment round closes tomorrow. Not days. Hours.

Once it closes, it’s closed.

If you’ve been considering investing; if you’ve been watching from the sidelines, this is your final opportunity to join us as an owner of The Flyover.

Final hours. Final spots. This is it.
