"This was the most successful missing child operation ever conducted in Northern Florida," said Acting U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Florida Greg Leljedal.

Authorities made nine arrests, most involving interference with child custody. Some children were found with noncustodial parents.

An official with the University of Florida said it closed on land in downtown Jacksonville for a future graduate campus.

The campus site is in and around the historic Jacksonville Terminal rail station in LaVilla, and UF has received around $300 million in state contributions and private investment to develop it.

"Folks who want to see downtown grow—they're incredibly excited about it," said Jacksonville City Council member Jimmy Peluso.

The university expects to launch degree programs in an existing building in 2026, with design, planning, and construction of new facilities beginning later that year.

A nativity-themed Christmas light display that was shut down in Satellite Beach over a lighting ordinance has found a new home in Cocoa Beach.

Artist Jonathan Myers has posted a video of the new location on social media, writing, "When one display was told to turn off, it didn't end the story… it expanded it."

"It's just gorgeous right here in the heart of Cocoa Beach. I mean, it's beautiful, and you just stand here and take it in," said a woman who brought her family to see the lights.

The display runs through Dec. 31 at The Pointe Church at 82 N. Atlantic Ave. in Cocoa Beach.
