Superbon Post Fight Quotes:
On the importance of his win against Nattawut:
That means I step closer to the belt. For me right now, because my goal is the belt, so I'm going to go there.
On a chance to get a rematch with Tawanchai:
I feel like I need to work harder than the last time that I fought him. I need to go back to the gym, work and plan and get ready to fight him and I need to be the winner.
On what he can do better in a potential rematch with Tawanchai:
Last time, I think like I wasn't a 100 percent before the fight. But I cannot say that. So next time I will be 100 percent. Then the technique was different, I think. If you see that fight, I think my technique, everything there I did better, but my energy was not enough. So when my energy is not enough, that's why I lost that. I think my technique, everything there, I looked better in that fight.
Nabil Anane Post Fight Quotes
On his performance:
It was great. I did what we were training [for]. In training, we made a good plan, and it worked on the ring. So yeah, It was a great performance for me too. I'm happy with my performance too.
On his winning streak:
Just keep the work on. I am on a five-fight win streak and I hope it will be like this for a long time. And I will just keep training hard, because nobody wants to lose. I would keep my work like this. So I will train hard and just do my best every time.
On challenges during the fight:
I didn't have much of a challenge, but my opponent was very, very, very tough. He was so strong. I have never fought any opponent like him before. Every knee I put on him, every punch, every elbow, he didn't feel anything. But I won by points. So he was very tough. Respect, Soe Lin Oo.
On his evolving skill set:
Yeah, my skills have improved, [with] every fight. Now I'm more relaxed every time I fight more and more. I got much more experience and I hope the next fight will be better.
On areas of improvement:
I don't know. It depends on my opponent, but I will improve on everything - my strength, my intelligence, everything.
On his next opponent:
I'm not looking for [anyone] in my next fight. I got no opponent on my mind, yet. It depends on the promoters and it depends on also my manager. My brother. Mehdi Zatout, we will talk together. And for now, I want to rest a little bit because I had a three fight streak for like three months straight also. So maybe I'll rest a little bit for like two or three months and then come back again. I will have more time to prepare. Also, I hope I'll be a lot stronger in the next fight.
On his motivation in his career:
You know, everyone wants to be the best. I also want to be the best, but I have a lot of time, so no rush. Just keep training hard. I want to be number one, and I want the world to remember my name. So it's that motivation that keeps me on this road.
Ilias Ennahachi Post Fight Quotes
On knockdown playing a key role in controlling the tempo:
That was my game plan, it was my game plan. Fight with pressure or not, that was my game plan. Keep the pressure and keep working.
How did you prepare for his pressure?
I still played my game, you know. Even if he made pressure or not, I can fight with people who pressure a lot. I can fight with people who move a lot, but I still played my game. Also Akimoto is a very strong fighter, but you saw in the first round I knocked him [down], he put pressure, but I played my game.
Did you shift your game plan after getting the knockdown?
Of course, because in the one minute rest, he recovered his stamina, so I played the same game like in the first round. So I wanted to do it step by step, I made more pressure, more pressure, more pressure. But yeah it was a good fight.
Flyweight to bantamweight, what are the differences between the divisions?
I feel very strong, I make more pressure. Now I have the condition to fight because I don't focus on my weight for the flyweight, I can now focus on the fights as a bantamweight. I can focus on my fights, so I can make good fights.
Biggest challenge adapting to bantamweight?
Like what I said, I feel much stronger, you know, and a lot of flyweight fighters they move up to bantamweight, more fights for me and more good fighters to fight.
Ready to challenge for the bantamweight belt? Who do you want to face?
Everybody, everybody, but I want the new one. What I mean by the new one, I already have the old belt at flyweight, and now I want the new one. So you know what's next, I'm ready.
How his style matches up with Jonathan Haggerty and some of the division's top fighters?
What I will say is, I'm too smart for these guys, I'm too fast for these guys. Also now, I moved to bantamweight, I have more power, you saw it against Akimoto. I think he never went down in his fights in ONE Championship. I think I'm the first one to put him down. It only took one hook, so you know how much power I have.
Adjustments to make at bantamweight:
More respect, you know, in this game because I beat the number two, I want more respect. I do this for my fans, I do this for ONE Championship, I appreciate that Chatri gave me a chance again.
So I want respect, I want to be the soldier of Chatri, I fight for ONE Championship. The next one should be for the title, the new one.
Assessment of his performance compared to his expectations?
It was a good fight, it was a very good fight, because it was different. I mean more pressure, but it was not the level that I wanted, so every fight you can do better and better. The fights coming up, I'm gonna be better.
Takeru Segawa Post Fight Quotes
Getting knocked down in the first?
For the first round I got down, but that was only just like a flash knockdown, it didn't cause that much damage. In my head, I just needed to do something back to him.
What was going through your mind after getting knocked down?
It's been a while since I've been knocked down, and in my head, it was just like 'I had to attack back.' Also, I had some worries that I might lose this fight but I got to be very calm and took it back in the second round.
Adjustments you made in the 2nd round?
In the first round, I was being too careful with my opponent so I couldn't press that much, but in the second round I knew I could keep the distance close and I got to finish him.
How did you feel physically and mentally in your comeback fight?
In my previous fight, my knee bone was broken and also I had some leg muscle tears. To recover from my injury, it was very hard for me. But I've earned some very good experience from that and I applied that experience in this fight. So I had to adjust how I trained, and the results came out good.
Focus on anything specific in his camp?
The preparation wasn't related that much, it's more about the setting of the game like after I got knocked down, I had to fight like this. I had that mindset, so that's how I finished the fight.
How important is this win for your career? What message does this win send to the division?
I came to ONE to fight Rodtang, and if I didn't win this fight, if I didn't get through this, I would have had no quality to be in ONE. Now, I get to meet Rodtang.
Rate this win compared to other victories?
Since I came to ONE, I haven't had any wins or victories, that was bad for me. I didn't feel good about that. I also had a feeling that I had to start fresh in this match.
Message to Rodtang?
I am ready. For Rodtang, I hope you win your next fight and I'll be waiting here in the ring.
How important was the support of the fans and the team?
It's very important for me because having someone cheering on me, it makes you want to keep fighting. After I lost to Superlek, I learned that ONE Championship fans, even if you lose, they'll still cheer you on, they'll still support you, especially the Thai fans. I'm very happy about that.
Also, even though I cannot speak Thai, I can't communicate with them, they still cheered for me. Thank you for the support from the Japanese fans, having those cheers, having those supporting me kept me working hard and not giving up.
