The event was typically held in June or July and located in coastal cities on or near beaches. For the first two years of the events existence it was known as "Beach Blast" before taking its more well known name. The event ceased being held after WCW was purchased by the World Wrestling Federation in 2001. June 20, 1992 Mobile, Alabama (Civic Center) Beach Blast Attendance: 5,000 Scotty Flamingo pinned Brian Pillman to win the WCW World Light Heavy title. Ron Simmons pinned Terry Taylor.
