Despite all anecdotal evidence to the contrary the study found no indication of any harm done to the brain of a grappler who has been in too many choke holds, and that you should not use brain trauma from chokes to justify any unseemly behaviors like worshiping Gordon Ryan, expressing a desire to emulate Gordon Ryan or being Gordon Ryan.
