Game 6 - Oilers vs. Stars (8:00)
I way underestimated the Edmonton Oilers in this series. I thought Dallas would cruise to the Cup Finals in five or six games. Clearly that was wrong and the Oilers defense, and Stuart Skinner have far exceeded expectations here in these Western Conference Finals. The Stars were pretty much completely non-existent offensively through the first 40 minutes of Game 5 on Friday night, barely generating anything. Dallas poured it on in the third period, but were only able to beat Skinner once, on their way to a 3-1 loss to be a game away from elimination. I still think the Stars are the better team here, and much deeper. I can lose a lot tonight on my Cup future and series bet if they lose, and although I still think the Stars force Game 7 (and likely win it at home on Monday), I have to hedge against that, at least partially. I'll take the Oilers team total over 2.5 for 2.5 units. I don't see a way Edmonton wins without scoring at least three goals, and ideally I end up getting a Stars high scoring win to stay alive, with the Oilers still scoring three in a loss. I'd lean the over, but not enough to bet it.
