I'm doing a series of articles on players with a wide range of possibilities for dynasty. They could be done for fantasy or could be top assets at the position. I'll be avoiding rookies since they're easy targets for this type of category. I want to look at players who have at least shown signs of talent on the NFL field. We'll finish off with the tight end position. Here are some boom or bust TEs.
Kyle Pitts
Many people think Kyle Pitts had an unbelievable rookie season. He definitely had a good one, but it wasn't as good as many made it seem. First of all, they said he had the 2nd most yards for a rookie. But people also need to remember that it's easier to do this now that there are more games in a season. Secondly, they said he was the TE6 in PPR leagues. However, that was mainly due to being able to stay on the field. He was TE12 per-game; he wasn't regularly helping fantasy managers win weeks. That being said, he is getting a huge QB upgrade so it's very possible that he becomes the TE1 this season if his receiving usage increases drastically.
Jake Ferguson
We've seen that Dak Prescott's TEs are really good for fantasy. I believe his situation is the main reason Jake Ferguson is good for fantasy. There are a few things that could hurt his fantasy value such as losing his role as the clear TE1 and losing job security beyond 2025. However, if he performs again and gets an extension, his fantasy value would shoot up.

Wrap Up
Hopefully, this gave you some ideas of players you could consider buying or selling depending on your comfort level and how trade partners in your leagues may feel about them.
