Another huge night on the NHL Playoffs for me to stay hot last night, going 5-2 to win 6.6 units as the Oilers closed out the Kings. Tonight we have just one game, as the Leafs try to force Game 7 while the Bruins look to advance again. Let's go!
The Bruins absolutely fucked me in Game 5 on Tuesday night, losing my biggest play of the year (partially a hedge) in their worst game of the playoffs with a chance to close out the series at home where they had an absolutely terrible performance. The two goalies were the best players on the ice in a dud of Game 5 on Tuesday as Joseph Woll and Jeremy Swayman were both spectacular in goal. The first period was so horrendous for Boston, as they only generated two shots on goal, scoring on one of them. The whole first half of the game was terrible, and then when they got some gas under them, they couldn't capitalize on their chances with Woll being a brick Woll (get it?) in goal. I thought the Bruins had this series locked up going into Tuesday's game, but I'm not feeling great about that call anymore. Although I fully expect Boston to play much better than they did in Game 5, I feel like the Leafs are going to tie up this series tonight and force Game 7, then likely lose on Saturday. I'm not betting the side though. I expect this game to be another goaltending battle between Swayman and Woll and like the under, which has hit in three of the five games in this series (with the other two getting 6 goals each). I'll take the alternate under 6 here for a unit.
