THE BIGGEST STORIES OF THE WEEK:

1) The UFC still hasn't announced the UFC 300 main event yet. A big rumour on social media is that Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler will fight for the inaugural 165lbs title and that Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad will headline a PPV in Manchester for the inaugural 175lbs title. If the UFC wishes to change their weight classes, UFC 300 would be the best option to mark the start of the 165 and 175 divisions.

3)Tony Ferguson revealed on Instagram that he suffered an MCL tear two weeks before Thanksgiving, which was less than a month before his fight against Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296.
"I recently took care of my leg (my MCL) and had surgery last Thursday, one week after my elbow/arm surgery (both arthroscopy). I thought I would get them both done and double down. Got it over with so I can do what I do best. Beyond rage is an understatement. I feel no despair, just repair." (via Tony's Instagram)
4) Vince McMahon has resigned as TKO Group executive chairman due to the lawsuit and sex trafficking charges. Per WJS, Vince McMahon is accused of sex trafficking by a WWE staffer he paid to keep quiet. Janel Grant filed a lawsuit saying McMahon pressured her into sex with him and other men in the wrestling business. 5) Justin Gaethje was promised a title shot after knocking Dustin Poirier. He was promised to face the winner of Oliveira/Makachev before he had to pull out due to an eyebrow cut. Volkanovski then stepped in and derailed the whole division. Gaethje expects to fight for the next lightweight title if he beats Max Holloway.
6) Ilia Topuria claims Alex Volkanovski will be one of the "easiest fights of (his) career so far…. Is Topuria on the McGregor 2016 hype train, or in his Alexander Hernandez 2019 disrespecting a legend? We will see at UFC 298.
