While Pinilla worried that his history of grooming and sexual predation may scupper the success of his new school's launch those fears proved misplaced, demonstrating a strong misreading of the BJJ community. "I know it sounds silly when you say it out loud," Pinilla said, "but when you know your history there's always a part of you worried that today will be the week grapplers pretend to care about you.
