After a two week hiatus, the UFC is set to return to action this weekend with UFC Vegas 56.
The card is set to take place at the UFC Apex facilities in Enterprise, Nevada.
In the main event, Alexander Volkov is set to face Jairzinho Rozenstruik in a heavyweight showdown.
The co-main event sees a featherweight matchup between Dan Ige and undefeated star Movsar Evloev.
Volkov is coming off of a defeat to Tom Aspinall back in March at UFC London. The Russian veteran will be itching to get back to winning ways.
With a professional record of 34-10, Volkov is well-known for his unique striking. Therefore, he will be looking to his long-range and height to his advantage against Rozenstruik.
As for Jairzinho, the Suriname native is coming off of a decision defeat to Curtis Blaydes back in September of 2021.
Like Volkov, Jairzinho will be desperate to get back in the win column. Rozenstruik is also a hard-hitting heavyweight with a background in kickboxing.
Currently ranked seventh in the heavyweight division, Volkov's last win came against Marcin Tybura back in October of 2021.
Rozenstruik, ranked eighth in the division, hasn't won since his victory against Augusto Sakai back in June of 2021.
A win for either man this weekend will open up a lot of doors heading into the summer. It's a chance to gain some sort of momentum going forward.
Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is set to miss the rest of the year. Therefore, it is now the perfect opportunity for individuals to catch the eye of the masses and impress when given a chance.
