Just days after their bitterly contested World Cup play-off ticket, South Africa and Ghana are again at it, 'fighting' to see which nation wins the inaugural CAF Women's League in Cairo, this Friday.

The dust is yet to settle on Sunday's World Cup qualification clash in which Ghana triumphed through a controversial penalty kick award.

In the aftermath, a Ghanaian barbing saloon worker was reportedly stabbed to death in South Africa in an ensuing argument over the authenticity of the penalty kick award.

It is therefore rivalry renewed as Mamelodi Sundowns women's team take on their Ghana counterparts, Hasaacas Ladies in the final match scheduled for  30 June Stadium, Cairo.

The trophy is also reportedly to have just arrived the Egyptian capital city, Cairo.

The trophy design has strong elements that speak on the goal to grow women's football in Africa and honour the strength, elegance and athleticism of African women. It reflects the growth, celebration, excellence, unity and empowerment of African women football.

The design concept includes 54 notches in the lip to represent the 54 CAF affiliated Member Associations. It includes a sterling silver high shine based engraved 'CAF WOMEN'S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE', with the names of the eight teams who took part in the inaugural edition engraved below.
