TASHKENT, Uzbekistan — Never late to conquer.

Trailing before the final whistle, the Philippines escaped a gritty Nepal side off a stunning 2-1 triumph to keep their 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup bid alive on Saturday here at Jar Stadium.

Coming off a lengthy training camp in California, the Malditas turned the table in the dying minutes en route in getting their first three points in the three-team Group F.

Tahnai Annis and Camille Wilson found the back of the net for the Nationals who will try to book their spot in the main tournament next year to be held in India by facing Hong Kong on September 24.

Annis struck the game-tying goal in the 89th minute from an assist made by Chandler McDaniel.

In stoppage time, Wilson scored the winning strike for the Marlon Maro-mentored booters, thanks to the combined playmaking effort of Camille Rodriguez and McDaniel.

Bimala Chadhaury opened the scoring in the ninth minute, yet it was not enough for Nepal to secure the W.
