MIAMI GARDENS, FL – The Baltimore Ravens (6-2) traveled to Hard Rock Stadium to take on the Miami Dolphins (2-7) on Thursday night.

Tua Tugovailoa stepped in for the injured Jacoby Brissett and delivered a big-time second-half performance. The Dolphins also scored on a huge scoop and score touchdown from Xavien Howard which shifted the momentum in favor of the Dolphins. That helped seal a huge upset victory for Dolphins as Miami conquered Lamar Jackson's Ravens, 22-10 to win their second consecutive game

Defenses Set the Tone in Low Scoring First Half

The Ravens scored first on a Justin Tucker field goal. Surprisingly, the normally reliable Tucker would then miss a field goal on the Ravens' next possession to keep it a 3-0 ball game.

Eight of the first 13 first-half possessions ended in punts as both defenses set the tone in the first half.

Just before halftime, Jacoby Brissett connected with Isaiah Ford for a 52-yard catch, setting up Jason Sanders for his second field goal of the half as the Dolphins went into halftime up 6-3.

The Ravens were an abysmal 0 for 6 on third down in the first half and were unable to move the ball down the field effectively. Despite the inefficiency on offense, the Ravens trailed by just three at halftime.

Tugovailoa Replaces Injured Brissett

Jacoby Brissett was sidelined in the second half due to a knee injury forcing Tua Tugovailoa to enter the game. Head coach Brian Flores would not start Tugovailoa the start due to a fractured middle finger kept him active in case of emergency; as it turned out, Flores had him step in for the injured Brissett in the middle of the third quarter.

Dolphins Smothering Defense Seals the Deal

The Dolphins' defense stifled the Ravens all game long. They were able to get the game's first turnover in the fourth quarter when Sammy Watkins fumbled after a hit from Xavien Howard. The Dolphins' defender got up, picked up the ball and took it 49 yards for a touchdown to extend the Dolphins' lead to 12.

Lamar Jackson connected with Mark Andrews for a five-yard touchdown to cut the lead to five following with 4:12 remaining in the game.

The Dolphins capitalized on the next drive as Tugovailoa connected with Albert Wilson, setting up a one-yard run-in touchdown by Tugavailoa to extend the lead to 12.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense would have one last chance to cut the lead, but Lamar Jackson's pass would be intercepted by Justin Coleman to seal the victory.
