Everyone raves about anal, but it just isn't for some people, and that's fine; many people who have tried anal didn't enjoy and will probably never try it again.
Anal can be awkward, messy, and if done wrong, painful, which usually turns people off from it immediately while others will give it another go; but many will decide it's a hard limit and never try it again.
The thing with anal is that it cant be spontaneous; it needs to be discussed and planned so that both partners can prepare for it. This way, you can make sure you have eaten a high-fiber meal the day before and that you have had the correct type of bowel movement. Many people also prefer to use an enema before play to ensure they are as clean as possible.
Never do anything you don't feel comfortable with or that makes you uneasy and self-conscious. It is your choice should you try anal.
You also cant be an o-ring virgin and decide "fuck it" let's squeeze it in… It will not have the desired effect, and you will possibly regret it.
It is, however, okay to not enjoy anal and not to want to try it; we don't all have to do the same as others. We all have our own kinks and things that work for us. Many people will have anal but not enjoy it, let alone orgasm from it, and to me, that's pointless. Yes, you might be trying to please your partner, but you both need to enjoy it. I personally don't enjoy anything sexual that I know my partner does not get immense pleasure from in the end. I know of several Dom's that use anal as a way to punish a sub. However, it is up to the submissive whether this is something they want.
If you are curious about anal, discuss it in depth with your partner. You will need to train your rectum before you have full-blown anal sex to try and minimize the risk of any tearing. Please do your research and try to learn as much as possible before you try it out; not only will you be better informed but quite possibly more relaxed for the deed. If you feel anal isn't for you, don't feel bad; you are not alone.
