Preview Of TNF Matchup

Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) will travel to Paul Brown Stadium to take on Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (2-0).

The matchup will feature two of the last number one overall pick in the draft. With quarterback Trevor Lawrence who was number one overall in this year's draft, and Joe Burrow who was selected number one in last year's draft.

Jacksonville is desperate for a win tonight as the rookie quarterback and rookie head coach duo of Trevor Lawrence and Urban Meyer look to get their first victory of the season. After coming off a loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Lawrence had struggled mightily and threw one costly pick-six that put the game out of reach. Lawrence will look to rebound off his agonizing performance and get Jacksonville its first win since week one of last week when they had faced the Colts.

The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a big win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joe Burrow played very well. Burrow has been able to establish a great connection with his former LSU teammate Ja'Marr Chase.; who has been sensational thus far this season. Having caught two touchdowns over the course of last week's game. The backfield led by Joe Mixon who is second in the league in rushing yards looks to continue his dominance on TNF. The defense forced two interceptions from Big Ben and will look to do the same tonight against the rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

The Jaguars' offense would get the ball to start the game. They were not able to get much going as their drive ended in a punt. The Bengals offense would take the field. Burrow was in sync with his receivers as Tyler Boyd and Ja'Marr Chase got it going. The drive would eventually end in a missed field goal by Evan McPherson from 43 yards out. In the following drive, Jacksonville sliced their way through the Bengals' defense. As James Robinson ran it in for a six-yard touchdown, to go up 7-0.

Into the second quarter, Jacksonville was able to extend their lead as Lawrence ran it in for a seven-yard touchdown to make it a 14-0 lead. The Bengals would go three and out on their following drive, which would give Jacksonville another chance to score just before halftime. Lawrence connected on a deep pass with Laviska Shenault for a 52-yard completion. The Jags faced a fourth down and head coach Urban Meyer decided to go for it. With a run by Lawrence on 4th and goal, which was unsuccessful. The Jags led 14-0 at halftime.

The Jags' play on offense was great through two quarters. Lawrence did very well protecting the football not turning the ball over. The running game was in full stride as James Robinson had one touchdown on the ground. Along with Lawrence adding one as well. The defense hasn't forced any turnovers, but they've made it difficult for Burrow and the Bengals' offense to get going. As they have consistently gotten pressure on Burrow which hasn't let the offense get into its rhythm. The jags needed to keep going back to the running game as it's been working very well for them so far.

The Bengals' running game was very limited. Joe Mixon rushed for just 14 yards on five carries. A strong part of the offense has been the running game and the Bengals will look to establish that better in the second half. The receivers for the Bengals have been great as Tyler Boyd and Joe Burrow have been successful in finding each other. They looked to get Ja'Marr Chase in on the action in the second half. Bengals have been dominated in time of possession as the Jacksonville offense has been on the field seven minutes more than them in the second half. They looked to get that offense going into the second half if they wanted to get back into this game.

The Bengals offense heated up as Burrow and the Bengals offense marched down the field and took a little over six minutes off the clock and ended scoring on a Joe Mixon one-yard run in a touchdown to tie up the game at 14-0.

Into the fourth quarter, Lawrence and the Jags responded with a touchdown of their own. As James Robinson scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown to go back up by seven.
