As we head into the business end of La Vuelta, Odd Christian Eiking is increasingly becoming the ODDS on favorite for the title. Poland's Rafal Majka's solo 90km victory was a surprising unexpected one at El Barraco. The GC contenders never really challenged the breakaway with only Britain's Adam Yates who pushed hard in the last climb and reduced the gap between himself and Eiking by 15 seconds. There would be no big changes to the leading top 3. Great downhill technique with 26.4km to go from UAE Team Emirates's Majka. It wasn't particularly a steep descent at that so he really bent over to get the aerodynamics right. Check out the position of the saddle which is slanting slightly forward to allow him to be comfortable. This was the Pole's first victory in four years and could not have been any easier. Sure his dad is smiling from above.
