Torrez will get the chance to vindicate his most brutal loss from the 2019 AIBA World Championship in Russia, Torrez faced 3yr pro Bakhodir Jalolov of Uzbekistan who knocked out Torrez with a big left hand in the waning seconds of Round 1. It was a frightful sceen that left Torrez unconscious and on the mat for nearly 90 seconds till he was removed from the ring. Torrez has since rebuilt and corrected a lot of mistakes he made since their last fight back in 2019.

Torrez noticeably keeps his defense up, moves his head more doesn't come right at you and doesn't back straight up. Torrez made the proper corrections knowing this may be the man he faces if can make it to the gold.
