Saturday, August 28, was the last day of a full playoff weekend for the NBA2k League.  This day featured the two conference finals to see who would advance to next week's finals.

The Eastern Conference Finals

The Eastern Conference finals were a best-of-three series between NetsGC and Wizards District Gaming. Game one was a double-digit win for Wizards District Gaming by a 98-86 final score.  Game two was all Wizards District Gaming, as they used a strong offensive performance scoring 109 points. This combined with an equally strong defensive showing as they only allowed 69 points in the 40-point victory. This gave Wizards District Gaming the 2-0 series win and the Eastern Conference championship. This is their second season in a row winning the Eastern Conference. Wizards District Gaming will also have a shot at defending their title as 2020 NBA2K League champions.

The Western Conference Finals

In the Western Conference, it was Warriors Gaming Squad against Jazz Gaming. In game one, Jazz Gaming stifled the Warriors Gaming Squad offense, holding them to just 57 points, giving Jazz Gaming the 82-57 win.  Warriors Gaming Squad stayed alive in the series with a 72-61 game two victory. In the winner-take-all game three, Jazz Gaming won a tightly contested defensive battle at 62-60. This win gave Jazz Gaming the Western Conference title. The loss prevented Warriors Gaming Squad from earning a rematch of the 2020 NBA2K League finals against Wizards District Gaming.

The NBA2K League finals will take place on September 4. The finals series will be a best of five games instead of the usually best of three we saw throughout the playoffs. Game one will start at 5.00 pm EST. You can watch the finals through YouTube Gaming, or on Twitch.
