| Charges Dropped in Teacher's Death Charges have been dismissed against five teenagers linked to the accidental death of North Hall High School teacher and coach Jason Hughes. The decision came following a request from Hughes' family, who said prosecution would be "counter to Jason's lifelong dedication of investing in the lives of these children." According to officials, the incident occurred when the teens were throwing toilet paper across Hughes' yard as part of a senior prank. While trying to approach the group, Hughes slipped and fell into the path of a vehicle driven by one of the teens, who was attempting to flee, and was fatally struck. The driver was initially charged with vehicular homicide, reckless driving, criminal trespass, and littering on private property. The other four were also facing charges of criminal trespass and littering. As of Saturday, a GoFundMe organized for Hughes' family has raised nearly $500,000. | Atlanta Reports Sharp Drop in Crime According to the latest update from Atlanta police, the city has seen a significant decline in crime this year. The Atlanta Police Department's Zone 4 reported the largest decline in overall crime, with a 23% drop over the past year. This achievement earned the area's team the 2025 Crime Reduction Award. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens stated that the city has experienced one of the largest decreases in crime of any city in the country over the past four years. | Savannah Among Top 3 St. Patrick's Day Celebrations Savannah was named the third-best city in the country for St. Patrick's Day celebrations, according to a new WalletHub report.
