During a February 2021 sleepover, Vann and his friends played a game where they shot each other with BB guns and airsoft rifles. Later, they agreed that the first person to fall asleep would get pranked. When SeMarion Humphrey fell asleep, Vann woke him up and handed him a cup of urine. "He put it up to his mouth, willingly and on his own accord, and gave it back because he knew it wasn't water," Vann said in an interview with the Washington Free Beacon. A few weeks later, Humphrey's mother hired an attorney, started a GoFundMe for "therapy and private schooling," and embarked on a media tour to share how her son was "tortured" by Vann. A grand jury declined to indict, but Vann was subjected to online threats and "lost all my friends." "It was immature. It was stupid. It was nasty. But that's not who I am, and that's not me today," Vann said after the verdict, acknowledging "there was no winner in the end." Humphrey's mother said she plans to appeal. | Delta Flight Disrupted by 'Unruly' Passenger An unruly passenger forced a Delta Air Lines flight to return to Houston's William P. Hobby Airport shortly after takeoff on Wednesday morning. According to a statement from the carrier, the unidentified passenger exhibited "unruly and unlawful behavior toward other customers" but "did not make contact with or attempt to access the flight deck." The pilot reportedly told air traffic control that "we had a passenger get up and try to access the cockpit." "He punched me three times and then walked back and then started attacking another gentleman behind me," said passenger Josh Lamas. "Everyone assumed that he was just kind of not mentally there." The passenger was detained when the Atlanta-bound flight returned to the airport. The 1.8-acre property was listed for $4.3 million last August. The 57,500-square-foot limestone building was built in 1888 and served as the county jail until 1989. It was designated a Texas Historic Landmark in 1965 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Craig Cavileer, the co-founder of Delightful Development LLC, said plans for the site are in the "imagineering" phase. "We're excited to do something. I'm not sure what it's going to be. I know that hospitality is in our blood," he said. Cavileer was the former executive vice president of Los Angeles-based Majestic Realty Co., but he left the company and sued for nearly $76 million in outstanding loans in a breach-of-contract dispute. | | | Flying together with our sponsor Keep Your SSN Off The Dark Web Every day, data brokers profit off your sensitive information—like your phone number, date of birth, and Social Security number—by selling it to the highest bidder.
