Article Icon 1Farmers to Get Federal Aid

Arizona farmers will share in the $12 billion federal farm aid package announced this week by President Trump.

Cotton, wheat, and corn growers in the state are among those in line for aid after enduring falling prices, rising costs, and a decline in international demand, partly due to tariffs.

Farms can expect payments by Feb. 28 and should ensure their 2025 acreage reports are accurate by Dec. 19, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.

Some farmers said the funding will come too late for them as they've already shut down their operations.

A man dubbed the Paddle Boat Pirate was arrested after using a stolen paddle boat to burglarize a home in a lakeside neighborhood, Glendale police said.

Michael Bergstrom allegedly paddled across the lake to the home he was targeting and stole more than $20,000 in belongings. Security cameras filmed him scoping out the property before he cut the home's power, police said.

Investigators said they used the surveillance footage to track Bergstrom to his Phoenix residence, where they found a stolen jet ski, trailer, and several dirt bikes.

In an unrelated burglary arrest in Glendale, police charged a suspect accused of stealing nearly $12,000 in merchandise from two sporting goods stores in October.

The $4 Billion Deal Everyday Investors Missed

In 2012, Disney acquired Lucasfilm for $4 billion — one of the most profitable entertainment deals ever made.

But everyday investors never had the chance to participate. The upside was locked away behind private doors.

This dynamic is finally changing. A new company has quietly assembled what normally takes media giants billions to acquire.

After a decade-long legal effort at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Elf Labs secured more than 500 trademarks and copyrights featuring iconic characters like Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and many others.

It's one of the most significant character-IP victories in recent memory — and they are already rapidly scaling.

  • $15M+ in royalties

  • Upcoming global rollout to 200M TVs

  • 12 patents being used to power 3D & immersive content

  • Unsolicited $70M+ offers before any nationwide rollout

  • A team with a $6B+ licensing track record

The shift resembles the Lucasfilm moment — except this time, the opportunity is still open to everyday investors.

Elf is building a tech-powered character universe designed to disrupt the $2 trillion entertainment and merchandise market. With enterprise backing and distribution underway, they're entering a major growth phase.
