At Louisiana's largest maximum-security prison, nearly 30 inmates got a rare chance to reconnect with their daughters during the facility's first-ever father-daughter dance.

Held at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, the event gave long-incarcerated men, many serving decades-long sentences, a moment to simply be dads again.

The dance, organized by God Behind Bars, featured tuxes, roses, and tearful embraces as fathers slow danced with daughters many hadn't seen in years. Watch a video here.

Seven years after suffering separate brain injuries, Zach Zarembinski and Isabelle Richard got engaged in the same St. Paul hospital where they first crossed paths as coma patients.

Zach was injured playing high school football; Isabelle was in a car crash days later. They met when Zach, newly awake, offered hope to Isabelle's family as she lay unconscious nearby.

Their moms kept in touch, and years later, a reunion sparked a romance. This month, Zach proposed in the Regions Hospital lobby, where it all began.

Both had parts of their skulls removed—on opposite sides. "So it's kind of like we complement each other," Isabelle said. Watch a video report.

Edward LaRue, 82, and Marlene Parsons, 78, tied the knot last month in the same YMCA pool in Maryville, Ill., where they first met during a water aerobics class.

Wearing water-friendly wedding gear—trunks and a top hat for him, a white suit and veil for her—they exchanged vows with friends, family, and a lifeguard looking on. The Y's aquatics director, newly licensed to officiate, led the ceremony.

Both had lost spouses six years earlier and weren't sure they'd marry again. But after Edward proposed last year, Marlene eventually said yes. "We splashed each other in the pool," she said of their early flirtations. "It was great," she said of their big day. Watch a video report.
