Van Epps, Behn Advance in Special Election

Matt Van Epps, a Trump-endorsed former state official and Army veteran, won the Republican primary Tuesday for Tennessee's 7th Congressional District.

He'll face Democrat Aftyn Behn, a Nashville state representative and progressive organizer, in a Dec. 2 special election to replace GOP Rep. Mark Green.

The district spans 14 counties and includes a mix of rural communities, wealthy suburbs, and part of the Fort Campbell military base.

A GOP win would help maintain Republicans' slim House majority.

Police Debunk Eggy Armed Robbery

La Vergne police say a reported armed robbery on I-24 involving masked suspects and thrown eggs was entirely fabricated.

Investigators found the man who called 911 had purchased eggs himself and staged the scene before filing the false report.

He was arrested with help from Murfreesboro police and later confessed.

Authorities said the community was never in danger but emphasized that filing false reports and wasting police resources carries serious consequences.

Kidman to Stay in Nashville Home for Now

Nicole Kidman plans to remain in her longtime Nashville estate amid her divorce from Keith Urban, citing stability for their two daughters.

The couple, who separated over the summer, bought the gated seven-bedroom home in 2008 and used it as their primary residence throughout their marriage.

Court filings show Kidman is seeking primary custody, while Urban has moved to a rental nearby.

The estate's future remains undecided as the legal process continues.
