Taken by me: A peaceful river that was found after a nature walk up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
There is nothing quite like a walk outside in nature to clear your mind. For as long as I can remember, I have always been enamored by the outdoors, and by the beauty that it offers. No matter the weather, a nature walk can cleanse a person's soul in a way that nothing else can. Nature is a natural healing remedy for the mind, body, and soul. Not only are you exercising your body on nature walks, but you are also taking the time to reflect on yourself. The sounds of the birds chirping, and the slight breeze rustling through the trees creates the perfect environment for self-reflection.
Nature walks don't have to be done on world-renowned mountains to be considered healing. An old boy scout trail will do just fine. There is a trail near where I live that is my go-to for nature walking. It is nothing extravagant by any means, but it is nature in its purest form. I go here to exercise and clear my mind when needed.
Taken by me: Part of the trail that I walk on.
I always recommend people to go on more nature walks when they can. Nature walks are an underrated form of exercise. The natural grounding techniques that they possess are also not talked about enough. I have definitely noticed a difference in my mental health after consistently going on nature walks. I don't think people nowadays spend as much time outside as they should. Humans are not meant to be inside all day. With work and school, it can be hard to get out for a nature walk. It can be so easy to forget the importance of fresh air when you have gone without it for so long. Once you begin to go on nature walks regularly, though, you will never know how you went without them before.
