The first quarter was all about defense as both quarterbacks got off to slow starts. The Texans eventually got on the board first with a field goal after they got into Colts territory.
The Colts immediately answered with a 60-yard throw by Richardson to wide receiver Alec Pierce for a touchdown to take the lead. Houston got back to the endzone, but settled for a field goal once again.
The second quarter was all about Houston as they finally got their offense going thanks to a big throw by Stroud to Nico Collins for 55 yards. They got back in the endzone and were able to convert for a touchdown.
They attempted a two-point conversion, but the Colts got the stop which kept the score at 12-7. Despite getting the stop, the offense was held scoreless in the quarter.
