Eagles Week 3 Post Game Notes:
- Jalen Hurts led a 5-play, 69-yard scoring drive with 1:05 remaining in regulation, putting Philadelphia ahead, 15-12. The drive ended with a 4-yard rushing TD by Saquon Barkley, securing the win.
- Hurts completed 29-of-38 passes for 311 yards and 1 INT, marking his 13th-career 300-yard passing game and his 10th-career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime.
- Barkley had 147 rushing yards on 17 carries and two rushing TDs.
- It was his sixth-career game with two rushing scores and his 19th-career 100-yard rushing game.
- The last time Philadelphia won by scoring in the last two minutes of regulation was on 11/20/22 at Indianapolis, 17-16 (winning TD at 1:20).
- Saquon Barkley scored a 65-yard rushing TD to give Philadelphia a 7-3 lead in the fourth quarter, capping a 4-play, 82-yard drive. This was the 5th-longest rushing TD of his career and the longest since a 68-yard TD on 12/29/19 vs. Philadelphia. It was also the longest rushing TD by an Eagle since Miles Sanders' 82-yard run on 12/13/20 vs. New Orleans.
- Dallas Goedert eclipsed 100+ receiving yards for the sixth time in his career.
- He set career highs with 10 receptions and 170 receiving yards.
- This was the most receiving yards by an Eagles tight end since Pete Retzlaff (204 yards) on 11/14/65 and the most by an Eagles pass catcher since A.J. Brown (175 yards) on 10/1/23.
- DeVonta Smith has had 7+ receptions and 75+ yards in three straight games. He is one of five Eagles to achieve this since the 1970 merger, along with Irving Fryar (four, 1996), Harold Jackson (four, 1971), A.J. Brown (2023), and Zach Ertz (2015 and 2019).
DEFENSIVE NOTES
- Philadelphia's defense held New Orleans to 219 total yards (130 passing, 89 rushing).
- The last time Philadelphia held a team under 300 total yards was on 12/25/23 vs. NY Giants (292; 106 rushing, 186 passing).
- The last time Philadelphia held a team under 100 rushing yards was on 11/5/23 vs. Dallas (73).
- The last time Philadelphia held a team under 150 passing yards was on 9/25/23 at Tampa Bay (133).
- Reed Blankenship secured the win for Philadelphia with a diving interception of Saints QB Derek Carr in the game's final drive. This was his second interception in three games and the sixth of his career.
- Jordan Davis sacked Carr for a 12-yard loss on first-and-10 during New Orleans' second drive, leading to a three-and-out by the defense. It was Davis' first full sack since 9/14/23 vs. Minnesota.
- Zack Baun had 13 tackles, marking his second game this season with 10+ tackles (career-high of 15 tackles vs. Green Bay on 9/6/24).
