Now that I'm heading towards gainful employment, I can now afford to do something that I've wanted to do for some time. Lower the prices on my Patreon! You can now get access to everything in THE DOOMTOWN GAZETTE for as little as one American dollar a month. That's like half a cup a coffee a month. I have to think that's a decent price and probably worth it. Hope so, at least - that's as cheap as Patreon allows!
Frankly, the low price point also takes some of the pressure of me to produce the HARD JANK.
There's three tiers so you can pay more if you like (as much as $6.66 a month) but everyone gets the same thing. Access to all the HARD JANK, bulletins, and entries for The Museum of A Billion Cosmic Objects you could ever need. Probably more than you want!
In addition, there's going to be some diary type posts over there. Many of these sorts of daily life things currently appear on FB, where I have pretty strict privacy settings. But I figure the paywall, no matter how small, will also serve to help me avoid the watchful eyes of the general public. I'm not wild on the general public.
Depending how it goes and no promises, but THE DOOMTOWN GAZETTE might also start to replace The Grumpy Owl - meaning it might become a place where I start doing more, like, opinion(?) I guess. I like this blog and I like having it, but problem is, these days, everyone can read your blog and that makes me pretty cautious. It just isn't a place that I'm comfortable speaking my mind, yet I've never liked the idea of turning The Grumpy Owl private. So, like, I dunno, I guess. We'll see what happens.
In the meantime, if you'd like to subscribe to THE DOOMTOWN GAZETTE or switch over to a lower price point, you can do it here. Hope to see you over there.
