While I haven't watched all of them, I watched enough to recommend this TV show. All the episodes I've watched so far were really good, but the ones that stood out include Roseanne Barr, Andrew Dice Clay, Chris Farley, Brett Butler, Ellen DeGeneres, and Robin Williams. Not all comedy is the same and the types covered and/or commented by their peers include satire (George Carlin), sketch (SNL), physical (Jim Carrey), insult (Lisa Lampanelli), improvisation (Tina Fey), aggressive (Jon Stewart), and character (Sacha Baron Cohen). It's not easy to be comedian or comediennes especially today, let alone make a living solely on their stand up and/or TV show is often a long shot. Those who deal with hecklers with ease and take less than interested audiences in stride usually go far on the comedy scenes, but when the filming stops or the last joke is told, personal issues will still remain if not dealt with properly. The bottom line is people need support systems when the lights go out and as you will find, some of the lights get turned back on and unfortunately, some of them don't. I rate Dark Side of Comedy FOUR FINGERS at 90%. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
