After a loaded 14 game slate last night, tonight we have just one lousy game before a giant 15 game slate tomorrow with almost every team in action. This scheduling department stinks. Let's get a win!
Pretty lousy game for the only one of the night, with both of these teams very likely missing the playoffs. My Sabres have just one win in our last four games, coming off a pretty lousy 6-2 loss at home against the Senators on Wednesday night where the Sens had a 4-0 lead in 8:49 and a 5-0 lead before the first period ended. Pathetic. The Devils have had a lousy season, still a bit back of the second Wild Card, with a small outside shot of sneaking in (but that's very doubtful). They're playing well right now though, with four wins in their last five games, coming off a 6-3 win in Toronto on Tuesday night. Jersey won both previous games between these teams at home, with a 5-4 win in October, and a 7-2 win in November. I'd lean with the way these teams are playing right now the Devils win this one one the road to complete the season sweep, but both of these teams are very tough to gauge or trust on a nightly basis. I'll stay off the side. I do like the over in this matchup though, which I'll take for half a unit.
