Slight winning night for me on the NHL yesterday, going 3-3 but winning .22 units. Tonight we have a decent four game slate. Let's keep the win streak going! https://www.instagram.com/reel/C40nnYcuJlp/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRl…
Slight winning night for me on the NHL yesterday, going 3-3 but winning .22 units. Tonight we have a decent four game slate. Let's keep the win streak going!
Capitals vs. Hurricanes (7:00)
This is a pretty interesting game in the Metro to start off the night. The Hurricanes are on fire. They're in the second half of a back to back, coming off a 3-2 overtime win against the Flyers last night for their fifth straight win and they have just one loss in their last nine games. The Caps, coming off a 7-3 loss to the Leafs on Wednesday, are right in the Wild Card race in the East, three points back from the Red Wings. Although Carolina's the better team here, they're 1-0-1 against Washington, losing 2-1 in a shootout at home in December, and then winning 6-2 in DC in January. Even on the second half of a back to back, I'd lean the Hurricanes win this one, but I also think it's too overpriced at -200, especially with every point mattering for the Capitals. I'd also lean the under slightly, but I'll stay off this game entirely.
Stars vs. Penguins (8:00)
Pretty lousy cross conference game here tonight in Dallas. The Stars are in a three way tie for first place in the Central with the Avs and the Jets, and playing really well this season. Meanwhile, the Penguins, coming off a 5-2 loss in Jersey on Tuesday, have had a terrible season. Dallas won the first game between these teams back in October easily, winning 4-1 on the road. I like them to win easily again here. I'll take the Stars in regulation for half a unit. I considered the over too, but I'll just stick with Dallas here.
Avalanche vs. Blue Jackets (9:00)
Huge cross conference mismatch in this game. The Avalanche are rolling right now. Coming off a 4-3 win in St. Louis on Tuesday, they're on a seven game win streak with just one loss in their last ten games, tied with the Stars and Jets to lead the Central Division. Meanwhile the Blue Jackets, coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings on Tuesday, have been horrible this season and one of the worst teams in the East with just one win in their last six games. I expect a blowout win here for the Avs and so do the books with the moneyline at -380. I'll take the Avalanche puck line for a unit. I'd lean the over, but not enough to bet it.
Coyotes vs. Kraken (10:00)
Pretty lousy game in the West to close out the night. The Coyotes blow, really struggling right now. They're coming off 5-2 loss in Dallas on Wednesday and have just five wins in their last 24 games. The Kraken are in the second half of a back to back tonight, coming off a 3-1 loss in Vegas last night, their sixth straight loss. The first game between these teams in Arizona needed a shootout to decide it in November, with the Yotes winning 4-3. Even though they're in the second half of a back to back, I'd slightly lean the Kraken win here. I'd also lean the under, but not enough to bet this game. I'll lay off it completely.
Game Bets
.5u Stars in regulation (-121)
1u Avalanche -1.5 (-150)
