This is a phenomenal Eastern Conference matchup between the two best teams in the NHL. I broke this game down in depth with an article on StatSalt. As I said in that article, I can't see the Bruins losing three games in a row and will take them at underdog odds at +115 tonight for a unit. I really like the under in this game as well and will take the under for 1.5 units.
Maple Leafs vs. Capitals (5:00)
This should be a fun game tonight between the Leafs and Caps, two good teams out of the Eastern Conference. Coming off a 6-2 loss at home to the Senators on Friday night, the Leafs are 30-12-8 on the season. Prior to their loss to the Sens, Toronto had picked up at least point in each of their previous five games. The Maple Leafs are pretty much locked into a first round playoff series against Tampa once again this season and have played great on both ends of the ice, especially defensively. The Capitals are 26-19-6 on the season, coming off a 3-2 shootout win at home against their rival Penguins on Thursday night. They've played well on both ends of the ice. These teams split their two previous games this season with the home team winning each of those games, a 3-2 Leafs win at home on October 13th and a 5-2 Caps win at home on December 17th. I think Toronto wins at home again and will take them for half a unit along with the alternate under 6.5 for a unit.
