Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has signed a new three-year record contract with Liverpool.
According to BBC Sport, the deal is worth more than £350,000-a-week, making the 30-year-old the highest-paid player in the club's history.
Salah had just a year left on his previous deal and there were many doubts about whether he would stay or move forward with another club.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke on the new transaction:
"It's the best decision for us and best decision for him. He belongs with us I think. This is his club now. This is a special treat for our supporters to enjoy their weekend even more. I'm sure there will be some celebrations for this news tonight."
Salah, now 30-years-old, has scored 156 goals in 254 appearances since 2017 after joining the club from Roma.
"I feel great and I am excited to win trophies with the club," Salah said.
It's a happy day for everyone. We are in a good position to fight for everything."
Salah will look to add on to his long list of accomplishments, as he's won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup during his time with Liverpool.
He's also won or shared three Premier League Golden Boots, and has been named the PFA player of the year twice.
