Following back to back PPV events, the UFC returns to fight night action this weekend with a mouthwatering main event between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez.

Max 'Blessed' Holloway is coming off of a jaw-dropping performance against Calvin Kattar back in January. It seemed as if the Hawaiin native was going to get the next crack at the title after that striking clinic from Holloway. However, the UFC decided to match Alexander Volkanovski up with Brian Ortega.

With Volkanovski coming out on top in that fight, it looks as if Max Holloway will get another chance to fight for the title, providing he defeats Rodriguez.

Yair will be looking to shock the world when he faces Holloway. The Mexican has not fought since his decision victory over Jeremy Stephens back in October of 2019. Ring rust could be a factor in this fight for Rodriguez. For Yair, it's a case of high risk, high reward, in this fight. Should he win this weekend, Rodriguez may be in the mix for a title shot against Volkanovski.

With a professional record of 22-6, Max Holloway will go down as one of the greatest featherweights in the history of the UFC. With ten wins coming via a form of knockout, two via submission, and ten via decision, Holloway is such a gifted athlete. From the first bell, 'Blessed' will be itching to pile the pressure on Rodriguez.

Fighting out of Huntington Beach, USA, Rodriguez will be a tough test for the former featherweight champion. With a professional record of 13-2-1, Yair has the ability to shock the world, but it's a huge ask.

UFC Fight Night also features the likes of Ben Rothwell, Felicia Spencer, Song Yadong, Thiago Moisés, Cynthia Calvillo and Marc Diakiese.
