Evanston, Ill- The Northwestern Wildcats (4-0) took on the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights (0-2) for the first time in nine years. The last meeting between the two squads was in 2012, where the Wildcats defeated the Knights 80-53.

Coming into this matchup, the Knights lost their season opener to Seton Hall and have not played in eight days. Their matchup against Drexel had to be postponed as FDU's bus broke down on the way to the arena.

Northwestern walked into this one with over 80 points in each of its last three games as they rolled past their opponents. Northwestern would roll past the Knights 82-46 for their first 4-0 start since 2015.

Wildcats go Wild

Northwestern came out and made a statement for the fourth straight week. Pete Nance had a double-double for the second time this season, finishing with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Nance, the son of former NBA player Larry Nance and brother of current NBA player Larry Nance Jr., did not let off the gas tonight.

Center Ryan Young put up 20 points for the second time this season and went a perfect 8 for 8 at the free-throw line.

The Wildcats were just dominant all around and once they got the big lead, they did not let up, outscoring the Knights by 20 and 16 points by the end both halves.

With upsets all around the Big Ten to Michigan, Rutgers, and Ohio State and the way Northwestern is playing, the Wildcats could move up in the outlook of the conference.

The Knights Stumble

This was only the second game of the season for the New Jersey squad and they fell in a brutal matchup. Against Seton Hall, FDU was just 18 for 64 from the field and 1 for 15 from the three-point range with 16 turnovers and 21 fouls.

Again, the Knights had trouble shooting as they only made 30% of their shots from the field and just 13% at the three-point line.

Not only were they outmatched scoring, but they were also outmatched rebounding to with a 10 plus gap between the Knights and the Wildcats in the rebounding numbers.

A total of 20 turnovers is not going to help either. However, this is only the second game of the season with an FDU team that is still trying to find its identity.

Looking Ahead

Fairleigh Dickinson will look to find their footing this season and get a win as they take on St. John's on Nov. 20.

Northwestern will look to keep the hot hand and take on the Providence Friars on Nov. 22.
